“The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity” by Catherine Ponder
May 7, 2008
Yesterday I listened to a recorded conference that Catherine Ponder gave years ago for her book “The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity”. I actually read the book and I read another one of her books but I was astounded by how my feelings about prosperity have changed since I listened to it so I decided to write what I learned on my blog so others can benefit from what she said as well.
The Psychological Laws of Prosperity:
Catherine Ponder says that we must change our perspective to plenty which means that we must change from a discouraged disposition to a more joyful disposition about money. She says that being truly prosperous means that you have peace of mind, health and that you are plentiful. She says that we must become friendly to the idea of prosperity. The reason why is because some people believe that it is sinful to prosper because of the teachings about prosperity from some religions. She states that it is our divine right to prosper.
The Cleansing Laws of Prosperity:
Next Catherine Ponder states that we must get rid of what we do not want in our lives so we can make room for what we do want. She actually means this quite literally. She gave examples of students of hers who cleaned out their closets from their home to make way for the new good that will come into their lives. She said that this process speaks to the subconscious mind and helps to literally allow the new good to come into a person’s life. She also says that we must write what we want to eliminate from our lives as well so to eliminate error and expand our good. She also states that holding grudges keeps people from their prosperity as well and says that we must forgive which means to give up all grudges. She says that we must write two lists: one for those who we must forgive and another for those who must forgive us. She also mentions that we must release those who have dominated us and/or who we have dominated. She says that domination is another way that we can keep prosperity from us as well.
The Creative Laws Of Prosperity:
Catherine Ponder says one way to mentally create prosperity is to write what we want down. She says writing what we want down helps us to get definite about prosperity so prosperity can get definite about us. She says that the written word goes out to the end of the Universe to make it happen for us. She says that we must keep lists of what we want private so other’s negativity about what we want does not influence us. Another way to create prosperity, she says, is to think of prospering words which means we must practice affirmations (I’ve listed some below that I wrote down while I listened to her lecture). Finally, she says, the last way to create prosperity is through visualization. She says that the picturing power of the mind is a powerful way to attract what it is that we desire. She says that we must be specific in what we want because generalities do not invoke change and do not get results. She says we cannot fight problems in our minds. Instead, she says, we must visualize our way out of them. And finally she mentions that this process takes practice. It takes lots of practice because what we want has to be absorbed and accepted first by the subconscious mind before it will ever come to pass.
Here are some powerful affirmations from the recording:
